{Review} Micro-Resurfacing Rejuvenation Express Treatment Part 2

"Beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle" - Erno Laszlo

Oh, how true!

I am never blessed with fantastic skin.  I had a pretty bad skin condition when I started working and can you imagine, there was a period when I actually went for biweekly facials?  So, yes.  I do believe commitment is a requirement.  There is no miracle to beautiful skin, unless Fairy Godmother or Aladdin exist.  :)

Here, you read about Part 1 of my journey with Micro-Resurfacing Rejuvenation Express Treatment.  Today, I am sharing with you Part 2.

After 3 intensive (read: once a week) sessions, my skin started to get use to the rollers.  Irene will decide the intensity of the "rolling" and she mention that my skin seems to be able to handle the resurfacing quite well.  She can also see that the congested skin is starting to clear up.  It is not totally congestion-free but she sees improvements.  Yay!

To me, I can actually feel that the skin is much better.  I used to feel many little bumps when I touch or press my skin.  Those bumps are not visible to the naked eye but I can feel it.  Sometimes, they do pop up like tiny weeny zits and it will be all so uneven when I put on my makeup.  Those who have seen me without makeup will know how I look.  Sometimes I tell people, I feel so "chui" (looks so bad) without makeup.

I had a little bump that has been irritating me on and off and very surprisingly, a couple of days after that session, the bump went off.  It has not popped up since and I am hoping it never will.

Pedestrian Night - Christmas on A Great Street

The Pedestrian Night initiative, organised by Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) and supported by Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has been a hit such that it will be extended to February 2016.

I have been to two such Pedestrian Nights, which usually falls on the first Saturday of the month.  At each Pedestrian Night, the stretch between Scotts Road and Bideford Road will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6pm to 11pm, allowing visitors to walk freely along the road and experience an array of bustling activities.

I really like this concept because how often do we get a chance to walk around freely on one of the busiest road in Singapore?  And how often will he be able to be up so high in the middle of a road?  :D

The most recent Pedestrian Night which happened last Saturday, 5 December 2015 was Christmas-themed.

So glad the rain stopped in time!  While waiting for the street to be opened for humans to walk...

ION Orchard has some really nice Christmas decorations.

It is open!!!!  Everyone's busy taking photos, selfies, welfies.  As the night grows dark, the lights look more obvious and prettier.

When there is something free, there is always a queue.  I actually heard someone saying, "Singaporeans really love to queue".  :)

Maybe, what they did not know was that some of the rewards or freebies come from downloading the OneOrchard App and signing up for an account.  This App also allows shoppers to download shopping vouchers and make purchases from some of Orchard Road's biggest brands.  Ehhhh, when there are good promotions, why not?  Most of us want a good deal, don't we?

Street buskers out performing - street magic, balloon sculpturing etc..

This guy was pretty funny.  It is a pity some of us do not give compliments or applause generously.

Activity stations.  Mostly played by children.  Skipping ropes, hopscotch, tower of happiness (Jenga-alike game), twister, beach balls and many more.

The boys were asking why the roads can be closed.  Each Pedestrian Night is a new experience and it is always refreshing to bring them around to such activities that happen once in a while and soak in the atmosphere of whatever is the theme of the activity / event.

A must-have family shot at the end of the stretch of the road.

Last but not least, I must, of course, make full use of the "receive $20 Metro Gift Voucher with a minimum purchase of $100 nett in a single receipt from 6pm - 9.30pm at Metro".  Only on Pedestrian Night.  :)

What To Do At Puteri Harbour and Nearby

Earlier, I blogged about our stay at Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour here.

So, what's there to do near the hotel?

1.  Legoland Malaysia & Legoland Water Park

Legoland Malaysia is a 5 - 10 minute drive away from Puteri Harbour.  Need I say more about this theme park, that both children and adults love?

Shuttle service is available if one is staying at Hotel Jen.  Check it out at the Ground Level, near the Concierge.

Just next to Hotel Jen, Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and The Little Big Club.  We were there in 2012 when they first opened but decided to give it a miss this round.  For those who love Hello Kitty, this is the place to be.  Lots of photo opportunities.  And for those who love the characters from The Little Big Club, there are rides and indoor playgrounds - mainly suited for the younger children.

Hello Kitty Town seems to be brewing something new soon!

3.  DC Comics Super Heroes

Are you a DC Comics Super Heroes fan?  There is a retail and cafe outlet right in Puteri Harbour.  Walk around, have your lunch, tea break or dinner here.  We only had some drinks there.  The cafe can get quite busy, especially during weekends.

4.  Laze Around

Haha!  Sometimes, we just like to walk around randomly, aimlessly and laze around.

There is a Toys R Us.  Remember to bring your Toys R Us card if you have one.

The boys are just happy playing with the structures / benches or whatever you call this.  The innocence of children.

All in all, a 3D2N stay is sufficient, in my opinion.  I wonder when we will be back there.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens at VivoCity

{Media Invite}

Excited, we are.

Especially when it involves Lego and Star Wars.  From now till 20 December 2015, catch a glimpse of the Ultimate Millennium Falcon crafted by six adult fans of Lego from Titan Creations, the 6.2 by 2.4 metres mural made of Lego bricks and of course, the ten life-sized Stormtroopers at VivoCity Atrium.  Entrance is free!

Let the photos do the "talking"!

Each of us manage to help complete a tiny weeny part of the largest wall mural made of Lego bricks. This wall mural sets a new record in the Singapore Book of Records!  Come, take a photo with it!

Ever ready to take a photo with us.  Happy, we were.

Lots of exhibits and photo opportunities.

A Lego x Star Wars fan should not and must not miss this!  Larger than the Lego-produced UCS Millennium Falcon, this "My Own Creation" measures 110cm by 85cm.  Also, spot and guess why Han Solo is seated on the right side of the cockpit, instead of the usual left.  We know.  Do you?

The Electronic Arts Star Wars Battlefront will be a hit with children and teenagers.  Adults too, I'm sure!

Looking at these makes me feel like collecting all of them!  Haha!

Lots of Star Wars merchandise available for everyone to purchase.  You know where to go if you are buying a Christmas present for a Star Wars fan.

Apart from this 360 square metre exhibition, VivoCity also brings you the 107 ft Christmas tree at the Sky Park on Level 3.  From now till 25 Dec 15 at 7.30pm, 8.30pm (except 24 Dec 15) and 9.30pm, be enchanted by the pulsing light show choreographed to a medley of thematic songs.

And this, will probably be why you are spending that much in VivoCity.  :)  May the Force be with you!
