Sembawang Park - A Trip to the Playground with Sand

Situated at the very north end of Singapore is the Sembawang Park, which faces the Johor Straits.  Having gone through a significant transformation, one will find better walking paths, BBQ pits, a maritime themed playground and toilets that are accessible.  There is also the Beaulieu House, a seaside restaurant.

These days, we do not see many sand playgrounds.  Thus, the joy when the boys see a playground with sand when we were at Sembawang Park.  This meant double fun - sand playing and playground fun.

For the more adventurous children, they can climb up to the top and slide down.

Though not 6 years old, E decided to have a go.

His reward after the climbing and balancing…  A slide down!  Why do kids love slides?

So happy that E is no longer afraid of sand - he was a year ago!

Guess what this mummy is doing?  Teaching counting!  LOL learning can be fun and non deskbound right?
My only gripe for this playground is the notice on the instruction for the swing.  Located high up on a lamp post some distance away from the swing, I seriously doubt anyone noticed it.  Have sent a feedback to NParks and they replied within a day that they will try to have the signage relocated to a better location.  Please give a shout-out if you notice that the signage is relocated.

An ant hill.  Another on-the-go learning experience.

There are toilets and changing areas if you decide to clean up the kids before heading home.

There are 2 carparks if you do drive.  If not, there is bus number 882 from Sembawang Interchange (next to Sembawang MRT station) that does a loop service to Sembawang Park.
